I will be working at the Richmond Tattoo Convention Nov 18-20. Come out and see us! If you are interested in an appointment give the shop a call 801-773-1634!
Hope to see you there!
So I am really trying to keep up on keeping my blog recent! So far so good! So here is another round of some tattoos that have been keeping me busy!
I really enjoy tattooing hands and when this young lad asked me to throw down a rose on his mitt I was all about it! I’m really happy with the way it fills up the whole area. At first I was nervous about fitting in all the writing and still making it flow with the shape of the hand, but in the end I am really happy with finished product!
This next tattoo is one of the craziest cover ups I have ever attempted! I honestly had my doubts, especially because it was a coverup of a cover up with very limited space. Since doing it I have seen it healed and it is nice and solid! I will posted a healed pic in the future to show how well it covered!
This gypsy dog is a recent favorite of mine also, it is on our counter girl Nicole. I had drawn it up some time ago and had always wanted to tattoo it but never did, until she saw it! Im very pleased with the way it turned out and look forward to doing more like it!

This Japanese rib panel is still a work in progress but it is coming along nicely! This was taken after the forth session, we still have back ground and a few other elements to put in, this will eventually go all the way down to his knee!
And finally a fun little rose! i think roses are honestly one of my favorite things to draw, paint and tattoo! I really like the way the stem goes on to the foot and he water drops were a nice little challenge!
As always thanks for looking and check back soon!

Here are some pictures of the recent legion art show! Thanks to Copper Palate Press for hosting us, it was an awesome turn out!
Here are two of the newer paintings I had in the show, pretty excited about these ones

If you came out thanks so much for the support and look forward to seeing everyone at the next one!
So here are a few new things I have had in the works. I actually have a lot to share but I am going to be spreading it out over the next week, so check back again soon and I will make sure the blog is updated with new awesomeness soon!
I finished up this dragon koi half sleeve a little bit ago. I really like doing Japanese tattoos and I would love to expand my Japanese portfolio, so if you’re interested in Japanese work let me know!
This dragon chest panel/half sleeve is now finished. I had posted a picture from the first sitting in my last post, it is about 90% healed in this picture.
A fun little pocket watch I did on a regular client of mine, this was really fun to do and I look forward to doing more traditional-ish tattoos in the future!
This eagle back peice was a lot of fun to do too. I’m really excited that I have been able to do such a diverse style of work across a lot of my clients! I’m really happy with the way this turned out, I believe this is fully healed other than the stippling in the halo.
I am very pleased with the way this elephant turned out I really like how it fits the foot and how the floral element helps frame it in!
This thigh piece was done in 2 sessions and she sat like a rock! I am very pleased with this tattoo and would really like to do more large scale work like this!
And finally some black and grey roses! Black and grey is timeless and looks so awesome in the skin, again I am really pleased with the outcome of this tattoo and look forward to doing more black and grey!
Thanks for looking and check back again soon!
So I must apologize for taking so long to update the blog! I keep telling myself that I need to try and update this thing weekly and it ends up being monthly! Oh well I’ve been busy with some pretty cool things! I have a lot of new projects in the work too so hopefully I will be able to throw some in-progress pictures up on here soon! But enough with the small talk, you came here to check out some of my work so get to checking it out!
I did this little number last week, I really had no idea what I was going to be doing until the night before but thats cool because I really like the way it turned out! Its a little different for me but I have been trying some new things lately and I have been really happy with the way things have been turning out!
This dragon chest panel was done in one sitting, maybe 3 or 4 hours long, and it is going to extend down the bicep and eventually become a half sleeve. I have outlined the rest of it and will post some pictures as soon as I get some shading in! I really enjoy doing the more traditional Japanese work and would love to do some more large scale work with it!
This eagle was another super fun one! He originally wanted a chest piece but ended up changing his mind and went for it on his back. This actually worked out well since we were able to go a little bit bigger with the design. I will post some finished pictures of this soon as I am wrapping it up in the next week or so!
This zombie geisha half sleeve was pretty fun too! Its been a while since I have had to do anything like this but I really like the way it turned out! This piece is turning into a full sleeve which is actually almost done now and I will hopefully get some good pics of it all soon! Sorry for the poor quality on this picture it was taken with my phone
What more zombies! That’s right here is a little business zombie on his way to a board meeting I suppose! I love tattooing zombies and it has actually been a while since I got to do some so these have been awesome!
Talk about awesome how about a bolt cutter tattoo! This was really fun! I love doing tattoos like this, in fact I would enjoy doing more tool tattoos! Maybe I will have a sale on tool tattoos! But i really like how simple and bold this design is!
I really enjoy doing custom lettering and would really like to do more of it! Here is a little ”Stay True” tattoo on the inside of some biceps!

Alice in Wonderland tattoos are always fun because of the crazy imagery that comes along with it! Here is a healed catapiller tattoo which is part of an on going Alice leg sleeve, up next is the Cheshire cat!
I really don’t get to do many traditional tattoos but I got to hook up this awesome USMC bulldog tattoo! Let me tell you this was sooo much fun! It is a memorial tattoo for her father! I know first hand that feet tattoos are not pleasant and she sat like a champ!
Tigers are one of my favorite things to draw! I love them, I want to do a million more tattoos of them! They are really fun and this one was no exception! This was his first tattoo and he sat like a rock and has recently come in for more too!
This pirahana tattoo was done a little while ago and I was not able to get a good picture of it until now! But that’s cool since this picture is all healed up and settled a little bit!
This burning cherry blossom tree was another first timer tattoo! I really liked the idea of this, it was really fun to do and I really like the outcome of it!
I have said it once and I will say it a million more times, I love doing Japanese tattoos! Josh here sits like a rock and for as long a I want to work on him! This Foo Dog was done in one sitting and took about 5 hours! His top half of his arm was also one sitting and you can see that a few posts back!
Here is some more custom lettering, or should I just say letter? It is an old english “H”. He asked to make it look kind of dark so it was fun to try to come up with a way to make one letter seem “dark”. I think it turned out well and I have since seen it healed up and am really happy with the results!
Talk about a painful couple of days I did these two skeleton angels two days apart and they are pretty big on the front of his rib cage! He powered through them and now has an appointment booked to do his whole chest! He must love getting painful spots done!
So there it is a bunch of new tattoos! I also have some new paintings I will put up in a different post soon! Thanks for looking and don’t forget to check out
Now we are off to play some volleyball!
Ok here are a few new things! I actually have quite a bit more things in progress that I am waiting to put up, so here are a few things in the mean time!
This Lady with a hookah was pretty fun, it is healed in this picture. His friend got a matching one only he got a scorpion with a hookah instead of a lady, and apparently I didn’t get a picture of it but I will soon!
These next two paintings are part of a flash set I have decided to do. It has been really fun so far and I can’t wait to do more!
I would also love to tattoo any of the things one these sheets or something similar if anyone is interested!
And finally a few sketches! The monkey head is an old one that I just happen to really and would love to tattoo as well, the octopus is for an upcoming appointment! You might notice the octopus only has four legs and that is because I plan on free handing the other legs in to bring the tattoo around an existing piece
So thanks for checking stuff out! Check back often and don’t forget to check out http://www.LoyaltyTattoos.com!
So I have been slacking on this whole blog thing! But I am now committed to doing at least one post every week, starting………………..NOW!
Ok so a week or so ago we all hung out after hours at the shop for a paint night! But here’s the catch it was a Zombie paint night! It was awesome, even the wifey joined in and painted me a super crazy zombie owl, which is now in my studio to keep me inspired!
The Wife’s Owl
My Zombie Rat! (this sold at the SLC Tattoo Convention! $60 what a steal!)
James’ Zombie Bill Murray!
Gayman painted this awesome Zombie girl after deciding his Zombie Popeye wasn’t cutting it!
And here is Nick’s Nazi Zombie!
Now on to some tattoos!
This is a lighthouse I did at the SLC Tattoo Convention, it’s on a shin and took about 4 1/2 hours to complete. I wasn’t able to get a good picture of it since conventions seem too be the worst lighting for pictures, but you get the idea! It was also the only picture I took of a tattoo at the convention, kind of lame considering how busy it was!
I also had the chance recently to recreate a Frida Kahlo painting! This was super fun and it has been a while since I had the chance to do anything like this! Most of this tattoo is healed in this picture with the exception of the background and flowers, I’m pleased with it so far and might go back into it once more to tighten some things up!
A little bit of custom lettering on a forearm. Lettering is always fun especially when the client gives you the chance to do what you would like! I would love to do more custom lettering!
I don’t know why WordPress did not want to rotate this image. Anyhow it is a pinup girl riding a rocket, the backside of the rocket is a little skewed from the way I took the picture but you get the idea! The client brought in a piece of art work with a similar theme and let me change a few things, it was pretty fun!
SO thats all for now but in the next few days Im going to post some more things, including some more paintings, flash and some sketches along with a few new tattoos too. So check back soon for more!
